Day 10 - Rest Day in Albuquerque

All I can say is Albuquerque is a super nice place. The city is surrounded by a mountain, which we got a chance to go to the top of it. Waking up at 7:30 is just more than awesome. Sleep has been very scarce on this trip. 4 AM wakeup calls have taken a toll on each of us, so a rest day is a welcome break.

The first task that I did was to help Jon get an oil change for the vans. It was an adventure, finding the airport, and waiting for the AVIS guy, who didn't really know what was going on, to change the oil on the vans. We got a chance to explore the airport, and it was awesome.

We then got to eat at Frontiers, a popular restaurant near the University. The Mayor was kind enough to let us stay in his house that was beyond words, and we got to go on a lift that took us to the top of the local mountain.

For dinner, the mayor cooked a wonderful steak dinner for us. The steak was so juicy that we were all in awe. I even managed to get a more comfortable saddle for my bike, because it really was causing some problems. What an awesome rest day.
