by Laura Noll Jul 14, 2004 Greetings from Jasper National Park! We've had an amazing couple of days camping here in the great North. The rain has held off and no one has been eaten by bears, so all is well. Riding through the park has been gorgeous. Mike slipped and gashed himself on a glacier but he is okay. Lake Louise has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Carly and I had a run-in with what we think was a pack of Caribu and there have been numerous goat sitings. Currently a group of us are in town and good news... they have sushi. Not only did we shower but now we are going to have a much awaited meal out (don't worry- not on Texas 4000 budget). It's been amazing how many travellers we've run across. Just yesterday outside the Columbia Icefields Paul and I met a couple on motorcycles who had actually met the Sierra team when they were in Nevada. The travelling community is a whole culture in and of itself. It's cool to be part of it for a time. There are tons of touring cyclists up here because it really is cycling heaven. The roads are in good condition AND we're riding through arguably the most scenic part of North America. I'm so glad to be here! Off to sushi... I miss you all!!!!
