by Julian Jones Mar 14, 2009 Today, a small contingent of our team went out on a ride out east (the east side of Austin) for nice 50 mile loop. The thing that made this one challenging was the fact that it was really cold. I know Texas is supposed to be warm, but It seriously was 43 outside. Still, we rode. My hands were numb, but we kept riding. WE rode out untill to outsirts of Austin. One of our team memberse, Thaison, actually got a drill bit stuck in his tire. Thankfully we were able to complete the ride, going 50 miles round trip, and even getting a chance to ride on a a toll road Today was one of those days that reminded me of what I learned about cold, especially spending a year in Boston, one of the coldest places I've ever been. It's strange, no matter how cold the day gets, a small amount of warmth remains within you. Sometimes the obstacles we go through awaken something new inside of us. Thanks to all who read this, and stay tooned for details of our spring break ride
