by Lauren Briscoe Aug 07, 2008 We are no longer the sierra route. We are no longer the rockies route. We are, now, and for the rest of our lives, the 2008 Texas 4000 Team. We've met up with the rockies route! It's been a fun addition and a refreshing change to our everyday routine. I'd been nervous about meeting up with them in Whitehorse for about two weeks. In fact, I was flat out dreading it. I loved the dynamics of our sierra route and I was afraid that any addition would screw it up. But after 60 days with the same people, it was such an awesome thing to have new, but familiar faces. I had forgotten how much i missed them, and these last few days have been awesome. Despite the horrible pavement, today flew by. I had a whole new group of people who I can keep up with and it made today infinitely more interesting. I'm pretty tired of cycling, but I think these next 9 days are going to be over before I know it. I'm so ready to be back home, but I'll be sad to see this summer go. It's been awesome. I can't say I'll ever do anything like this ever again, but I wouldn't trade this summer for anything.
