AAAAAAA!!!!

I have started this entry so many times, but for some reason have not been able to finish it

here is the deal, we are now entering an area lacking computers and internet (apparently showers also). this means that our beloved entries may become fewer and far between. but dont be sad, we will do our best to keep loved ones and supporters updated as to our daily movements.

here are some thoughts and a run down of some past events.

YELLOWSTONE - beautiful, there is a bit of a climb to get to the gates of the park...and they charge $10 a rider to enter. now get this, they charge $20 a car. WHAT!!! cyclists do not pollute, and lets face it, if they are riding their bike to get some place, prob dont have the 10 to get in anyway.

so we circumvented the situation by hiding before the entrance, and then shuttling people through the gates. the nice part was they also shuttled us up to the top of this huge climb. mostly because there was no shoulder, lots of construction and about a 20,000,000 foot drop off on the other side of the road. (the distance may be an estimate). the kicker was that we got dropped off at the top and got to ride er down. it was beautiful, not too much traffic so we took the lane, and boy was that sucker fast. i really wanted someone to drive me back to the top so i could do it again, but no one would.

we proceeded to camp for the next 2 nights in the park. it was awsome, no bears entered the site, and we ate lots and lots of ice cream.

one thing i do have to comment on is peoples facination with wildlife. in trying to get from one side of the park to the other we had to take a loop through the center. every time one car spotted bison, fox, chipmunk, gnat...an entire line of cars would stop - all occupants would spill out - pictures would be taken - and then everyone would attempt to fit back in. we started referring to them as bison jams.

WEST YELLOWSTON - a town, not actually in the park, and its in montana. sweet city. the first thing we came accross was a sweet bike shop that also had a cafe inside it along with snowmobile rentals. the owners invited us to their regularly scheduled ultimate frisbee game. we went for a bit and then certain members (including myself) slipped out to see 'spider man 2'. we figured this was our last chace of a civilized movie for about another month so we were going to take it.

MONTANA - in general this state rocks. im going to preface this statement by saying that i am here in july and have not witnessed a winter. but i like it. so far colorado and montana have made the cut of potential places to live.

the ride in today was nice. it wound up being 98 miles so we rode around the parking lot 2 more miles to make it an even 100.
