Oh Canada!

Well, my biking good luck has ended. I think the biking gods have frowned upon me because I never clean my bike, but all of the sudden I've started getting a million flats. That's fine, except that I'm not strong enough to get the tire off on my own, so 10 miles into Canada, Val and I had to sit on the side of the road and struggle with a flat for an hour and a half (most boys could change a flat in 10 minutes).

But yesterday, I spent 3 hours cleaning my bike, so hopefully the flats will end now. I'm just about ready to give up on my tire and by a new, tougher one. The tire I have on right now has a huge hole in it because my last flat was caused by a 3 inch nail, so it's probably time to retire that tire anyway.

Besides the flat tires, Canada has been pretty awesome so far. The people here have been great to us and I think everyone is having a good time. Soon we'll be back in no man's land though, and that's bear country too, so we'll see if I still like Canada in a few days, eh?
