Oregon

I haven't blogged in a while, so here it goes:

I'm in Oregon. It is really cold here and I've taken on the no arm or leg warmers challenge. Basically that means that no matter how cold, I bike in my shorts and jersey. I don't wear jackets or tights or anything like that. The first day in Oregon, I thought I was going to die. My eyes were watering because it was so cold and I couldn't feel my fingers, but either my body is getting used to it, or it's getting warmer because it's not so bad any more.

California was beautiful. Highway 1 was the greatest biking of the trip so far. Cycling and seeing the ocean at the same time is just amazing. What's really amazing is that I haven't crashed yet due to lack of watching the road.

I'm sure Oregon is really beautiful too, only I haven't seen any of it yet. Kidding, kind of. The fog covers just about everything for most of the day but in the afternoon it clears up a bit. Watching the sea lions play in the water is pretty entertaining. We saw a dead one on the beach the other day which was really sad. Jose put his helmet on it which was... gross.

Tomorrow we'll be heading into Portland and then we have a day off! Yay!!!

This blog is terrible. I'll try and post a better one later.
