Notice- Next Gas Station 150 Miles
by Lauren Briscoe
Jun 22, 2008

Well, we're in the desert. Today we cycled 110 miles of nothingness. No gas stations, no homes, no living things. And to anyone who thinks the desert is flat- you are very mistaken. We had some tough climbs today. My left knee kind of bummed out on me and I ended up doing a pretty tough climb with just my right leg. A special thanks to Todd for literally pushing me up that hill. He rode beside me with his arm out, pushing me on the back to give me a much needed boost up the hill. Needless to say, I'm pretty exhausted after a 110 mile, hot day of climbs so I'll keep this entry short. I haven't had phone service for a while, so for those of you who were expecting to hear from me- I am, in fact, alive!

Also. I want to give a special shout out to the man and his daughter from colorado who stopped for us when one of our riders was suffering from heat exhaustion. It's really great to know that people are looking out for us and we really appreciate you!!!
