Day 10 and 11

Yesterday afternoon, Mr. Abraham hooked us all up with free lunch at 'Golden Pride' and free access to the tramcar up to Sandia Peak. The ride up was awesome. We were suspended 1,000 ft above teh ground by 3 cables so it was kind of exciting. Afterwards we went back to the Abrahams where we met up with the Abraham's friends who came over to meet us and hear our stories. Brooke arrived later on from the airport (she's been out with mono for the first part of the ride), and we got to meet Bret Weitzel who had just finished a ride from Telluride, CO to Moab, UT. With one leg. He had recently had his leg amputated due to osteosarcoma. Hearing his story and meeting him was awesome. I can't believe that I could ever complain about our ride after hearing what he has gone through. What he did makes our ride seem easy in comparison.

After dinner, we packed up, said our goodbyes to the Abrahams (and it was so hard to leave...) and drove over to All Saints Lutheran Church, where most of us went to sleep. On the way over, th trailer door swung open and we accidently ran over David's helmet. His helmet is now a tortilla.

Day 11 -

Woke up this morning 30 minutes late for everything! We had a headwind for the second half of the day. It was only 76 miles, but it was hot dry and miserable.

Tonight we're in Cuba, NM, a tiny little ski town apparently, in a tiny little church.
