Day 14

Before we shoved-off this morning we went by the Cancer Treatment center to say good-bye to our hosts. Today was supposed to be a long day but we decided to make it longer by taking an 8-mile detour to the 4 corners area. It is the only place in the United States where 4 states meet at a common point. With the added mileage today our final total was yet another century. This marks the second time on this trip where we have ridden back-to-back centuries. This brings our century total up to 5 and our states visited total up to 5 including Texas. Mexican Water, AZ was nothing more than a restaurant, laundry mat, and gas station. We set up camp in the side parking lot of the gas station and gazed at the stars. I've noticed that clouds in New Mexico are few and far between, which would make this state a stargazers dream
