by Adam Pirkle Jun 25, 2004 Sorry I haven't been writing in this journal; I haven't had any internet access for quite a while. I'm still alive, and I rode my bike about 1800 miles from Texas to California. Booyah. I've been trying to write in my paper journal, and I even typed up a few entires on Tommy's laptop, but I still haven't had a chance to upload them to the web. I'm sure we'll come across some wireless internet somewhere in CA. A lot has happened since I last wrote from Lubbock, and all of the details are starting to run together. As I walked into the Mammoth Lakes library just now, the guy at the desk asked me where we rode in from this morning. It took me a few minutes to remember the name of the town (Tonopah) that we stayed in last night. We've had a lot of friendly people give us lodging and food, and I wish I could remember all their names so that I could thank them here. Gotta run, or I'll be late for dinner.
