by Tess Evans Jun 23, 2004 Colorado was definately colorful, beautiful scenery. We went stayed in Fort Collins for two days, yesterday was our day off. Glorious glorious day off. We did a fund raiser with the Lydia Dody Breast Cancer Foundation, which improves the quality of life of women in the area undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Lee's Cyclery did an awesome job tuning up our bikes, I went a little crazy and purchased a few extra goodies like bar phat (makes the handlebars cushy) and new gloves, but they were easily justified splurges. Brandon's grandparents threw us an amazing dinner at their beautiful home overlooking the resevoir and we took a ton of photos of the view, I'll try to get some of my photos of the trip posted later this week. Or ask someone else to. ha. Today we crossed over into Wyoming, after climbing the dam at the resevoir. It was a difficult climb, but I think we all enjoyed it, in a twisted way. Our van got lost in the mountains so the riders were without support for a while, but we were all the more grateful for the support vehicles when they arrived. That and they made the best roadside lunch yet. Now Laura and I are staying with Tim and Annette and their 20 month old daughter Autumn. A few riders have gone hiking, but all I want to do is sleep.
