Western Kansas

I am lumping western kansas into one word, smelly. there is something about all the meat packing plants that just sort of permeates the air. there were thoughts of turning vegeterian and of puking on the side of the road for the majority of it.

The people though have been incredably nice. we have been hooked up here. Lots of food, great accomoditations, pools...everything a hot smelly biker could ask for. mmmmm maybe it was me and not the cows that was the issue today.

the ride was good, we did 50 miles by 9:30 am and completed the 106 by 1:00. that is right folks i did my first century today. my goal going into this ride was to not do a century ever. today i was going to stop at mile 99 and climb in the van, but they passed me before i could do that, and i didnt want to wait for the back SAG car to pick me up. maybe we'll make this my only century.

oh and for any future host who is looking at this web journal. i dont know why you would, every one else is reading Laura's. our combined map is wrong, do not go by its information. we are going to tar and feather the web masters as soon as we meet back up in alaska. until then, check out the specific route which is listed on the top. i am sorry for the confusion this has caused. and we hope to see you soon.
